Coach Abigail Duncan is a 2016 graduate of White Station High School, where she started all four years on varsity as a middle blocker and outside hitter. She totaled 1,533 kills, 233 blocks, 299 aces and 1,062 digs in her career. Coach Duncan helped the Spartans reach the Class AAA state tournament in 2015 for the first time in school history, swept the district regular-season and tournament titles from 2012-15, won sectionals and finished as the regional runner-up in 2015, and named to all-district and all-regional teams from 2012-15. She finished her career playing for Tennessee Tech as an outside hitter and defensive specialist in 2020. She started in over 304 sets and accrued 577 digs, 180 kills, 38 blocks, and 37 aces, while still being able to maintain her spot on the Athletic Director's Honor Roll.
Coach Duncan has ten years of coaching experience with different skill and age levels in both school and club volleyball settings. Most recently, she is head coach of the developmental team and assistant coach of 15 Elite at Memphis Juniors Volleyball Association. This will be her fourth season on the coaching staff at Bartlett High School and has previously served as varsity assistant and freshman head coach. This will also be her fourth year teaching U.S. History and Geography at the high school.
Abigail Duncan and the rest of the coaching staff at Bartlett are excited about the upcoming season, ready to get to work, and dedicated to developing their female athletes into young women who are prepared to play at the next level and to provide them with the tools necessary to face life’s challenges.
